Our interdisciplinary chair, which is positioned at the interface of Business and Computer Science research, provides practice-relevant teaching offers for students of diverse faculties by connecting theoretical research results with experiences from industry cooperations.
The chair's research field focus on the three strategic research areas:
which are organizationally reflected in three related working groups.
The objective of the Component and Service Engineering group is to open up typical advantages, which are well-known from engineering and industrial production, for the (further) development and operation of business application systems.
Inter-organizational Systems, which are also denoted as Business-to-Business Electronic Commerce, are researched with the objective to improve inter-company integration within (global) value networks.
Finally, within the research area Mobile Commerce we explore effects and develop design options to tap the full potential of mobile added-values.
