  • 1961-1966 Studies of Economics in Erlangen/Nuremberg, Bonn and Cologne

  • Completed degree of Diplomvolkswirt (equivalent to M.A. Economics) in spring 1966 at the University of Erlangen/Nuremberg

  • Research associate at the Institute for Economic and Financial Policies at the University of Erlangen/Nuremberg 1966-1971

  • Graduation as Dr. rer. pol. (equivalent to Ph.D. in Economics) in December 1971

  • Scholarship for habilitation of the German Research Foundation (DFG) from 1972 - July 1974, Habilitation in February 1974

  • Since August 1974 Full Professor at the University of Augsburg in Economics, specializing in Public Sector and Financial Economics

  • Current fields of specialization: Public Sector Management / Economics of Innovation / Economics and Society of Japan
