This module offers an introduction to selected key methods of Industrial Ecology (IE). The lecture mainly covers four topics and concepts: Material Flow Analysis (MFA), Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and raw material criticality assessments, and closed-loop supply chain management (CLSC). The lecture portrays interdisciplinary approaches to analyze interactions between human activity in production and consumption and the ecosphere. In the accompanying practical class, the students apply their theoretical knowledge to application-oriented tasks.
