This is an interactive hands-on seminar. Participants will learn the state-of-the-art methods for developing and testing survey measurement models and practically apply these methods to an interesting research issue.

Learning goals:

At the end of the module, students have in-depth insights into rigorous survey-based IS research. They have a basic understanding of the principles of academic research. Students are aware of the methods and criteria of survey research. They have shown their ability to develop and validate a measurement instrument for a given IS theory. They have improved their skills in writing and presenting own work in English. The skills acquired in this seminar are crucial for writing a quantitative master thesis at the chair.
