Julian Schenkenhofer, born 1991, studied information-oriented business administration at Augsburg University graduating both with a bachelor and master degree. The emphasis of his studies were centered around the fields of Corporate Governance, Organizational Behavior, CSR and Value Based Marketing.

Before and after studying, Julian Schenkenhofer gained hands-on experience during internships at D.A.S. Legal Protection Insurances within the ERGO Insurance Group in Munich and also at WEKA Media GmbH in Kissing in the fields of SEO and Linkmarketing. During his time as a working student for KUKA Roboter GmbH, he was employed in their Customer Relationship Management. Beyond that, since October 2014, Julian Schenkenhofer worked as a graduate assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Erik E. Lehmann offering tutorials for Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, as well as for Business Ethics.

Since October 2016, he is employed at the chair for management and organization as a research associate and PhD student. His research topics revolve around German Mittelstand companies that pursue a niche strategy (so-called Hidden Champions). In particular, Schenkenhofer targets economic and strategic firm investments in provisions of human capital, e.g. centralization vs. decentralization of education systems as well as urban vs. rural resources and their geographical distribution of human capital.
