Nikolaus Seitz studied Business Administration at the University of Augsburg. Core themes of his studies were in the field of General Management & Organizations Studies as well as in Strategic Management and Innovation Management.

Besides his studies, he gained practical experience as a consultant at the PR and brand agency klink, liedig GmbH, at the hightech start-up SkySails and as a business developer and assistent to the Managing director of Godelmann KG. Moreover, he worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Augsburg at the chair of General Management and Organization as a Student Tutor for economic policy and international economic relations at the chair for Information Economics (Prof. Dr. Welzel) at the University of Augsburg. Before having employed at the chair of Prof. Dr. Erik E. Lehmann, he worked as a business developer and Assistant to the Managing director of Godelmann KG. 

In 2012 Mr. Seitz joined the chair of Management and Organization at the faculty of business and economics as a Research Fellow and lecturer. His teaching areas are in the field of Strategy and International Management as well as Corporate Governance. In his research he intersects the fields of innovation, entrepreneurship and economic performance with a special interest in the role of urban and regional ecosystems and their key determinants. In particular, he focusses on the impact of institutions and smart financing, as well as the role of much softer factors such as places´ attrativeness, the role of urban cultures and street life to attract entrepreneurship scences. Since December 2016 he has been also appointed as Co-Managing Director of the new-founded Augsburg Center for Entrepreneurship (ACE) at the University of Augsburg.
