The Augsburg Marketing Day took place on September 26, 2018


As part of the Augsburg Marketing Day on September 26, 2018, practitioners and researchers from the University of Augsburg exchanged ideas on innovative marketing topics. The aim of the event was to set impulses and develop new ideas to prepare marketing for the challenges of the digital age. After a welcome reception by representatives of the University of Augsburg and the Marketing Club Augsburg, more than 80 participants were invited to attend a series of talks on digital transformation. In the beginning, Prof. Paul introduced seven propositions on how digital transformation affects and changes marketing. In his presentation, Dr. Steininger from the Chair of Information Systems and Management highlighted challenges and strategies in the social media communication of companies. In two practical sessions, Alexander Wachter (manroland Goss web systems) and Martin Dittrich (WallDecaux) explained how the operational business has changed as a result of digital transformation and how new technologies can be used to remain competitive in the long term. The motivation and personal development coach Antony Fedrigotti complemented the event with a keynote speech on the need to adapt personality in the digital age. The Chair of Value Based Marketing is pleased about the success of the event and hopes participants gained many new insights.
