Marketing Certificate


The Chair of Marketing (Prof. Gierl) and the Chair for Value Based Marketing (Prof. Paul) impart bachelor and master students (e.g., iBWL, GBM, ReWi) with competences in the area of marketing and now offer a certificate confirming these competences.

For bachelor students, ten lectures and three seminars are offered. Students who successfully complete nine courses and their bachelor thesis in marketing or eleven marketing courses will receive the certificate. For master students, nine lectures and five seminars are offered. Students who successfully complete six marketing courses (i.e., 36 ETCS) will receive the certificate.

To receive the certificate, interested students are asked to send an email to Gabriele Piesch with the following information: name, date of birth, matriculation number, studies, a list of marketing courses (including grade), and a confirmation from STUDIS showing their successful participation in the required courses.

By request, we additionally include the following courses: Courses held by visiting lecturers and/or professors at the chairs of marketing or value based marketing, courses in the field of marketing completed abroad, master thesis, and in case of master students “IT-gestuetzte Marktforschung (SPSS).” However, these courses do not substitute the courses listed above.
