Specialized conference on Sharing Economy in Germany:
Impact and Sustainability of New Forms of Economic Activity.

The 2nd i-share symposium will take place on the 5th of October at the University of Augsburg, Faculty of Business and Economics, from 10 am - 5.30 pm.

In the recent time, companies and organizations enabling new forms of sharing are attracting more and more public interest. The main idea of these new socio-economic business models is to share access to goods and services instead of limiting their ownership and usage to individual actors. This phenomenon is subsumed under the term "Sharing Economy".

An intensive debate on Sharing Economy will be offered within the specialized conference jointly held by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (research project "i-share: Beitrag der Sharing Economy zum nachhaltigen Wirtschaften in Deutschland") and the MÜNCHNER KREIS.

The program comprises topical presentations from science and practice:

"Die C-Form in der Sharing Economy: Community Management in neuartigen Formen des Wirtschaftens"
Prof. Indre Maurer, PhD, Chair of Organization and Corporate Development, University of Göttingen

"Die Rolle der Technologie in Sharing Economy Organisationen"
Prof. Daniel Veit, PhD, Chair of Business Administration, especially Information Systems with focus on Operations and Information Management, University of Augsburg

Keynote: "A Multi-disciplinary Landscape Analysis of the Sharing Economy in Australia"
Prof. Steve Elliot, PhD, University of Sydney, Australia

Keynote: "Digitalisierung, Innovationen und Regulierung"
Fabien Nestmann, Public Policy Western Europe, Uber, Munich

Numerous workshops on various topics around Sharing Economy will be also provided. Representatives of practice, politics, and science will join a moderated discussion on the current developments and the potential of the Sharing Economy.
