Sharing instead of buying - How Sharing Economy changes German economy

The second i-share Symposium took place at the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Augsburg on October 5, 2016.

The joint research project i-share of the Universities of Mannheim, Göttingen, Augsburg and the Hertie School of Governance examines the contribution of the Sharing Economy business models to sustainable business in Germany. The first research results were illuminated in presentations and workshops of the conference "Sharing Economy in Germany - impact and sustainability of new forms of economic activity".

Around 80 representatives of Sharing Economy companies and experts from academia, business and politics discussed the current issues in sharing economy at the joint conference. Topics such as the importance of community management, the role of technology, the diversity of business models in the Sharing Economy as well as the importance of innovative regulation of Sharing Economy activities in Germany were discussed.
