Curriculum Vitae

Manuel is an assistant professor at University of Augsburg, Germany. Furthermore, he is appointed as a research associate at the research department for "Information and Communication Technologies" (ICT) of the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW). He holds a Ph.D. from the Business School of the University of Mannheim, Germany, where he was a scholar in the Operations and Information Systems program of the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences. His research focuses on the implications of IT innovations on individuals' perceptions and behavior, including innovative digital services, channel convergence in retailing and social issues arising in the areas of privacy or the sharing economy. He received his diploma (master’s degree) in management information systems from University of Mannheim in 2010 and gained work experience at SAP and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. He appreciates collaborations in international teams and has gathered international experiences at the Trinity College in Dublin, at SAP in New York and during his recent research stay at the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California. Manuel enjoys working with students and has been teaching bachelor’s and master’s level classes and seminars in the areas of information systems and marketing at University of Augsburg, University of Mannheim, and Aalen University.
