Curriculum Vitae

Andreas Hoegen started his studies with a Bachelor in Information Systems from the University of Stuttgart with a minor in strategic leadership. For his bachelor thesis he optimized ground-handling processes at airports, using de-central and autonomous multi-agent systems. He completed his Master in Information Systems at the University of Hohenheim best-in-class with specializations in data science and software engineering. During his master thesis he studied motivation and behavior of economic agents and altruistic stewards using multi-agent simulations. At the University of Western Ontario, Canada, he focused his studies on human-computer interaction as well as social psychology.

During his studies he gained practical experience in the fields of project management, software engineering and IT strategy consulting at Robert Bosch, IBM Global Business Services, as well as IBM Research & Development. In addition he was involved into several research projects at the University of Hohenheim, e.g. studying electronic negotiations and optimization of value chains using information systems. After his studies he worked several years as strategy consultant with focus on digitization, digital business and technology at Booz & Company (now: PwC Strategy&)

His research interests focus on how information systems influence human behavior and choices, especially regarding cognitive peculiarities and imperfections in human reasoning.
